Responsibilities
Registered Pharmacy Technician – Full-Time, Burnaby, BC - Healthcare
What You’ll Be Doing:
✔ Own day-to-day dispensing operations (60–70%)
Lead and oversee the dispensing process, including medication prep, blister packaging (strips), verification steps, and overall workflow quality. Maximize your full scope of practice in a non-patient-facing setting.
✔ Support and guide pharmacy assistants (20–30%)
Train new assistants, provide hands-on support and constructive feedback, and help integrate new processes into daily routines.
✔ Assist with occasional patient communication
Step in to support transfer calls (5–10% of the time) — no counselling, but you'll ensure clarity and continuity in the process.
✔ Contribute to workflow optimization and continuous improvement
Collaborate closely with the pharmacy manager to implement changes, streamline systems, and keep pace with growth.
